July 15, 2009 — KimberlyI totally fell in love with this sweater dress when I saw it at Bloomingdale’s and it definitely seems to me like something Serena would wear. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but it has a subtle shimmer in it! I love it.

WIWT: Serena’s Iisli Dress
February 12, 2009 — KimberlyI wore it with my Catherine Malandrino sequin cardi (still after the fuschia one btw!) and a Splendid tank underneath. (Serena-like cleavage = inappropriate for work). It actually looked cute with the Stella McCartney cardi over it, but i felt like that was too much sequin action for the office.
I actually ran out and bought this dress the minute I saw Blake Lively in it. She literally walked by me on set wearing it, and I knew it was Iisli, so I went over to Saks. It disappeared soon after, and I saw a few at Bloomies, but that’s it. I also saw it in Bendel’s in off-white. It looked gorgeous in that color as well.

The Purloined Sweater: Mine at last
December 17, 2008 — KimberlyOk, so more like purchased, not purloined. The Marc by Marc Jacobs sweater seen on Serena was sold out once it went on sale on ShopBop. Today, I returned to my mothership, Bergdorf Goodman 5F, and found one left in my size! It wasn’t on sale, but I don’t have any regrets about buying it because even though I’ve bought a lot of things that I didn’t end up wearing, I know that this sweater is something I’m going to wear a lot. Plus, I really love it. I think it ranks up there with the Nanette Lepore Symphony cardigan that Serena also had, which is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

My Christmas List: Things I want to happen on Gossip Girl
December 11, 2008 — KimberlyOk, so my list is a little crazy and out there, but so are a lot of GG plotlines. I have an alternate option for each event if it is somehow not possible. :) (And this is only my Christmas list because everyone in my family keeps telling me that we’re doing small or no gifts this year. Otherwise my list would need to be written on a scroll. )
1. First of all, get rid of Vanessa. I hate her. She’s gross and she ruins everything!
OR
1A. Get Vanessa and Dan together. They would be such a good couple – theyre’ both so judgmental! Plus, I wish the show would follow the books more closely. And of they can’t be together, at least have her shave her head.
2. Have Nate and Serena hook up again. Or date! They have such great chemistry – way better than Serena and Dan. S & D are cute together, but it’s not enough.
OR
2A. Have Serena and Chuck hook up. I know, I know. It’s crazy. But they’re not related anymore! Besides, it would set Blair and Serena against each other, creating a chain reaction that hopefully ends with…
3. Have Blair and Dan hook up! The princess and the pauper! She’d probably want to keep it a secret, and then SOMEONE would spot them together, and it would appear on Gossip Girl and be a huge scandal, which I would love.
OR
3A. Have Blair and Nate get back together. I mean, ever since they broke up it’s like they totally forgot they even dated, and it’s killing me. Bring back the Blair-Nate-Serena love triangle!
4. Have Nate and Jenny either date for real or at least hook up again. Then we could have either a Jenny-Nate-Blair love triangle.
OR
4A. Better yet, a Jenny-Nate-Serena love triangle. The resulting cat fights would be AMAZING. And I don’t even know who I’d want to win!
5. Have Lily and Rufus get married. That way, Serena, Eric, Dan and Jenny would all have to live together as a big happy family! Ha ha ha! Then Serena and Chuck could have clandestine hookups in her room and Dan would walk in, and then afterwards Chuck and Eric could settle their differences and hang out playing Wii together or something.

5A. Have Lily and Rufus dating, and Dan and Serena dating. AWK. WARD.
What does everyone think? There are so many similarities between Gossip Girl and the OC. Who will be killed? Who will break up? Who will get together? Who will change teams? It’s all too much for one girl to speculate.

Bargain at Bloomingdale’s
December 5, 2008 — KimberlyNot only is Bloomingdale’s having a crazy sale online, almost everything on the contemporary floor today has been marked down by 40%, even the newer collections! Unfortunately, the Marc by Marc Etta sweater was nowhere in sight. However, there were tons of cute Milly clothes! I wanted everything. I did have one lucky Gossip Girl fashion find, though in a different color: Serena’s Joie Marissa sweater dress from New Haven Can Wait, but in black. A similar cardigan was available in both the cream that Serena’s dress is and in black, but I got the dress – for 40% off. It looks really cute on and I can’t wait to wear it to a holiday party.
