Shopping Success: Milly Jacket from Net-A-Porter

I had such a great experience buying this Milly jacket off Net-A-Porter. Even though the site sold out of my size, I kept it on my favorites list that I check periodically. On Sunday night, my size wasn’t listed as sold out anymore! So I quickly pounced on that. The shipping was super fast – the jacket came today! It looks really cute. I really love it. It even comes in its own dust bag and they include this ah-mazing spring shopping catalog full of droolicious pictures that I know are going to make me want to spend more money.

I’d love this jacket in red as well. goldenmeans has it and I’m totally jealous :) There is still a medium left if anyone is interested!

Is there any place better than Bergdorf’s 5F?

Answer: No way!

Tons of things are 50% off right now and Bergdorf’s has a wide selection of items from so many of my favorite contemporary collections, especially Tory Burch and Diane von Furstenberg. My best find was a DVF dress marked down to $79, but they didn’t have my size. Sad moment: They had ONE Marc by Marc white Etta sweater, but it was full price, and as much as I love it, it’s not worth $500. Great GG find: this hard-to-find Milly coat that Blair will soon be wearing on Gossip Girl on sale for about $419.

I found this sequined Nanette Lepore cardigan, which, at $250, is on the cheaper side for Nanette, considering Blair’s Lucky Stars cardigan was $325. I’m not sure how I feel about the size of the pailettes/sequins, but it definitely seems like something either Blair Serena OR Serena would wear, which is rare. It even sparkles :) Stay tuned to see if it appears on the show!

Label Lust: Milly

I discovered this line through Gossip Girl and also because it’s right next to Alice + Olivia in Saks and Bloomingdale’s. I have one Milly item – the green & white dress from Gossip Girl. Blair Waldorf wears a lot of Milly. You can find the biggest Milly collection at Bergdorf’s 5F. I feel like their clothes are designed for more petite people. If it looked good on me, I would totally wear this dress. I felt sad when I saw it on the sale rack at Saks. I wanted to take it home with me. I dreamt about dresses like this when I was little.
