February 12, 2009 — KimberlyIf you’re new to my blog, I discovered Bashashaindy headbands at Bendel’s in December after Gossip Girl episode O Brother, Where Bart Thou? inspired me to set out looking for the perfect velvet bow headband – and I found it. Since then I have frequented their website, a fantasy headband land filled with hair accessories adorned with pearls, rhinestones, tulle and more. They even have bridal pieces :)
Beyonce recently bought 3 Bashashaindy headbands. I’m excited to see what she wears them with! She owns the Baby’s Breath (it comes in blush, ivory, plum and black):

One of my favorite headband designers, BASHASHAINDY, has come out with a new line called B and S by BASHASHAINDY. I love the velvet Blair headband I own from this line – doesn’t slide off my head or pinch and give me a headache! And obviously it is totally cute. The Gossip Girl headband is now available in ribbon form in light pink, bright pink, bright yellow, bright purple, ivory, white, black, and gray!

December 11, 2008 — KimberlyToday I took a much-needed trip to the Bendel’s headband section looking for this and of course falling in LUH-V with everything else there! It is SO. hard. to leave Bendel’s with just one headband, but I could only get one today. There were so many I wanted! Pearls and bows and crystals and velvet…
In addition to the links I’ve listed, try Nordstrom’s hair accessories section of their website (which is updated often, I believe) for designers like Cara NY and Tasha, which are sold at Bendel’s. Nordstrom’s in-store selection is also a lot better than their website.
Designer BASHASHAINDY is currently having a trunk show at Bendel’s. I scored an ah-mazing black velvet & ribbon headband that looks just like Blair’s for $68.

This headband is especially perfect for me because my deskmate at work and I draw cartoons of each other on post-it notes sometimes when we finish our work, and the cartoon Kimberly always has a large bow on the center of her head because I wear a headband to work almost every day. Some of them are from lesser-known designers. For a particular headband, you can search by episode in the Gossip Girl Style Community.
