Fashion Week Highlights: 3.1 Phillip Lim

I love looking at Phillip Lim’s clothes in photos and in the store because they are true works of art. Spring 2010’s looks are menswear-inspired and modular yet feminine and never short on detailing such as lace, sheer fabric, and ruffles. These are my favorite looks – it’s so hard to narrow it down to just a few!

Very Serena: 3.1 Phillip Lim Wool-Blend Studded Vest

I think this vest is very Serena – she loves vests and she loves embellishments.

Sale: 3.1 Phillip Lim Anchor Tank Dress

I always think of Kate at Nautical by Nature when I see something with an anchor! :)

Spotted: Heidi Montag in 3.1 Phillip Lim

I believe the vest Heidi wore on tonight’s episode of The Hills when she confronted Spencer and the bartender on their “double date” is 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 09. What do you think?

Spotted: 3.1 Phillip Lim at 5F

Today I returned to my mothership (5F) where I had several very glam sightings. The first was the wool Milly jacket in red (yay!) for $149 (yay!) only in size P (crap). There is one DVF Ursa jacket, size 4, full price ($645) and also two green Nanette Lepore Ferry boat coats seen on Blair (sizes 4 and 12) at full price ($550).

But more importantly there was Phillip Lim’s spring line. I saw this ruffly dress in the pink color in the photo below it. It’s a little scratchy to the touch, but the craftmanship in all of Phillip’s pieces is amazing. It’s a white dress with a pink overlay. Love!

I also love this modern take on the classic trench. You can’t tell from the picture, but it’s an extremely lightweight, comfortable fabric – like a bathrobe, only a sophisticated trench.

P.S. This site tends to have good sales on Phillip Lim. :)

Hot or Not: 3.1 Phillip Lim Trailing Ruffle Cocktail Coat

I think this coat would be really flattering on a woman with a boyish figure because it adds curves. I think it might add bulk on an hourglass shape, but it’s black, so maybe not!

Hot or Not? 3.1 Phillip Lim Asymmetric Cadet jacket

Part of me thinks this is edgy and polished, and the other part thinks people would think I’m a freak if I wore it. It’s something I could see Blair Waldorf wearing to school. Idk what other people’s thoughts are on that!
