A lot of people have been asking me about the PLL TV show in development. I haven’t heard much else other than that there is a series in development.
On Wikipedia’s listing for the book series:
It has recently been announced by Alloy Entertainment that a pilot is under works for a television series to air on ABC Family in the future.
On Alloy Entertainment’s website:
One hour series in pilot in development with ABC Family.
I wish I knew the dates! There’s nothing on IMDB.com. Unfortunately, I’m just as clueless as you are :(

Personally I don’t think they are even making a tv show. Here are my reasons:
1. Sarah Shepard has not said anything about Pretty Little Liars being a tv show
2. Only one website is claiming that Pretty little Liars is being made into a tv show
3. ABC Family hasn’t said that PLL is being made into a tv show
I could be wrong, but more than likely this was just a publicity stunt to get people to buy the books. If there isn’t any more updates about the PLL tv show then there is a high chance that it is not being made.

I’m skeptical as well but if you go to alloyentertainment.com and click on books and then the yellow PLL book, it says there is a one hour pilot in development at ABC family.

I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE SHOW!! i hope its really happening cuz they’ve been talking about making it for a YEAR. i was soooo glad they turned private intoo a mini series. do you guys read private? its AMAZING. a lot like pretty little liars

Celena – yes I LOVE private and i’ve read all the books and watch the webisodes every day! I pre-ordered private #10 suspicion on B&N and it said its going to ship 8/31 so hopefully i can get it early!

they are making a tv show out of the series. i know they casted lucy hale as aria, ashley benson as hanna, Ian Harding as ezra, and a few morre. pretty little liars is my all time favortie book series. but in my opnion this tv show is going to be a disaster! i have seen the people they have casted for aria, hanna, spencer and emily, and other characters. they are not a good match. for one thing theese girls are suppose to be gorgeous and the people they casted are ugly. the girl they casted for spencer has black hair, really? since when does spencer hastings have black hair.?
