GG Clothes Update: Blair’s Milly Coat and Floral Dress, Serena’s Vest
January 25, 2009 — KimberlyI forgot to mention that I saw a bunch of Blair’s red Milly coats yesterday at Saks in Greenwich. I didn’t get that excited because they were still pretty expensive – $700 but 40% off. I decided to go for a red version of last year’s Juicy peacoat (I have it already in angel ivory) since it has long instead of 3/4 sleeves.
Also, Blair’s floral dress from The Ex Files has been identified! I know there were a lot of people who were really obsessed with it :) It’s Cynthia Steffe pre-spring 09 and available by special order only. I sent them an e-mail so we can find out the price.
Serena’s sweater vest is called the Eileen by Joie and available here.
Best Beauty Products: Lip Gloss
January 25, 2009 — KimberlyI love lip gloss. I keep one in like every bag and makeup case I have. Did anyone else wear Bonne Bell’s flavored chapsticks on a necklace in elementary school? I loved their grape, watermelon and Dr. Pepper flavors. They still make them!

I have tried a ton of lip glosses. I used to love the lip gloss pots from Bath & Body works, but now I just feel gross using my finger to put it on. Be warned: if you buy one Chanel glossimer, you are going to want to start a collection! All of the shades are so pretty. I bought a set of 3 just like this one last Christmas and I really like it. The lightest shade looks like it would be too pale but it’s actually really flattering! I went for the set because you can try more colors at once instead of one for $25. The tubes are smaller, but I can’t remember the last time I actually finished a tube of gloss.

My favorite lip gloss right now is actually Victoria’s secret Beauty Rush gloss. I must have like 15 of them and keep one in every bag. I love the plain ones and the shimmer ones. I got a gift set of them last Christmas :) and I keep buying more because they are just within reach when you’re waiting on line to pay and they just look so tasty.

I’ve always wanted to try Dior’s gloss. I can’t justify buying it right now because of my large collection.

This Just In: Extreme Bag Snob Fall for Juicy Bag, Returns to Fashion Roots
January 25, 2009 — KimberlyI love it. I really do. I own VERY few things that would look good with this bag (it would have been perfect for what I wore in college though). I usually cringe when I see people walking around the mall with velour suits and velour daydreamer bags, especially since there are a lot of fake ones out there. But there are also a lot of really cute Juicy bags – especially their beach bags that come with a towel. Even though I think the Tory Burch clear tote is more stylish for the pool, I love wearing my clear Juicy one with its matching towel from like 3 years ago. How cute is this bag though? I have such a crush on it.

I think light purple goes nicely with a more neon pink or that light pink goes with a deeper electric purple as long as it’s done right. Alas, it was not. Chunky knit hats (and scarves) look better with dressier coats instead of down jackets in my opinion.
