Regardless of your political affiliation, there’s no denying that Michelle Obama has great style. With the inauguration of President-elect Obama approaching, there’s been much speculation about what the lovely Mrs. O will wear to the inauguration itself and the inaugural ball. Mrs. Obama’s style is reminiscent of Jackie O. Although the black and red Narciso Rodriguez dress she wore on Election Day drew mixed reviews, I think many women will continue to look to Michelle Obama’s modern yet timeless style for inspiration. She favors shift dresses, bold colors, crisp silhouettes and pearls. I can’t wait to see which designer she’ll choose to wear for the inauguration! I think she’d look beautiful in Marchesa.
After Michelle wore this Donna Ricco dress from White House Black Market on The View, it sold out nationwide.

When Mrs. Obama made Vanity Fair’s best-dressed list, this was listed as one of her notable ensembles. The dress is Maria Pinto, the belt is Azzedine Alaïa.
