Spotted: Miscellaneous Blair Waldorf Clothes

In my unsuccessful search for Blair’s date dress from Gone with the Will, I’ve found a few GG things, some on sale, in case anyone is interested:

Blair’s DVF Bette Glitter Plaid Jacket in sizes 0-8. Full price but you never know.

The matching DVF glitter pencil skirt in sizes 8 and 10 on sale for less than $100!

Blair’s DVF Nueva jacket in sizes 4 and 6. $173.

Blair’s Nanette Lepore skirt (in size 2) from the Pilot and her Marc by Marc Jacobs skorts (sizes 6 and 8) are still available on Bluefly for $109.99 each.

Blair’s Milly Ribbon Bow Cardigan in pink in sizes XS and S for $299. At this point, I’m so desperate to find it that I almost don’t even care if it’s on sale.

Style Icon: Michelle Obama

Regardless of your political affiliation, there’s no denying that Michelle Obama has great style. With the inauguration of President-elect Obama approaching, there’s been much speculation about what the lovely Mrs. O will wear to the inauguration itself and the inaugural ball. Mrs. Obama’s style is reminiscent of Jackie O. Although the black and red Narciso Rodriguez dress she wore on Election Day drew mixed reviews, I think many women will continue to look to Michelle Obama’s modern yet timeless style for inspiration. She favors shift dresses, bold colors, crisp silhouettes and pearls. I can’t wait to see which designer she’ll choose to wear for the inauguration! I think she’d look beautiful in Marchesa.

After Michelle wore this Donna Ricco dress from White House Black Market on The View, it sold out nationwide.

When Mrs. Obama made Vanity Fair’s best-dressed list, this was listed as one of her notable ensembles. The dress is Maria Pinto, the belt is Azzedine Alaïa.

For Barack’s acceptance speech at the DNC in Denver on August 28, Michelle wore a red and black dress by Thakoon.

On October 27, Michelle wore an outfit from J.Crew for an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Street Style Stalker: Train Station Trainwreck

It was painful just to look at this outfit. It looks like this girl was hit by a thrift store tornado.*

I feel like the ripped-jeans look is more California than New York, especially since it’s below freezing here. The sneakers just make the jeans look dumpier. The bag is one of those fake D&G things I hate with the big fake zipper, and the scarf is one of those hippie things, which might work on this girl if she had worn it with something else. In general, there are just too many things going on with this outfit.

In the words of The Fug Girls,

Dude.

No.

This girl would have looked pretty with cute flats, a pea coat, and dark denim boot-cut jeans.

*Disclaimer: I like shopping in thrift stores sometimes.

WIWT: Catherine Malandrino Sweater

Catherine Malandrino cardigan, James Perse dress underneath, Hard Tail pants, Juicy Couture boots, and outside a Juicy Couture faux-fur jacket (below) and cream Burberry scarf.

It was a lot of layers, but it’s been SUPER cold this week so I didn’t care.

Juicy JacketCollege freshmen, take note: it is never stylish or sexy to freeze your ass off.
