Mine at Last: Bulga Adore Satchel

This bag originally retailed for over $800. I visited it all summer at Bloomingdale’s, waiting for the right sale. There was only one left and then someone bought it. However, it recently popped up again on their website! I know it’s a summer bag, but I decided to go for it. Blame the headbands: I can’t even remember the last time I bought a new bag (except for the black bow Chanel). I really love this Bulga bag. Get it while it’s still available!

Label Lust: Stella McCartney

After I saw a few pictures from backstage at the Stella McCartney Spring 09 fashion show, I couldn’t wait to see more from the label. This season, Stella did nudes & neutrals, light blue hues, and black & white. The result is modern and pretty. View a slideshow of the show here.

Trend: The miniskirt, reinvented for Spring 09

My favorite miniskirt from the spring 09 runway shows was this one at Stella McCartney, whose show was about 1/3 nudes & neutrals.

These remind me of the shoes that mysteriously went missing on Sex and the City when Carrie visits her friends house for a party and is forced to take them off. And that woman would have gotten way more than a note from me if these were mine and happened to “disappear.”

Label Lust: Fendi Clothing

I was going to write like five more want it need it love it posts for Fendi’s clothes – I’m becoming way too obsessed with them! My favorite aspect of Fendi’s designs are their shapes and silhouettes. The tailoring is unmatched by any other designer I’ve seen, making them all investment pieces that will come into style every few seasons for the next few years. My favorite things right now are:

The twill bow jacket. I could picture myself wearing this to work at a fashion magazine in London, especially since the color is called Fog :)

The odds of me owning a Fendi piece from the current season are zip. To be honest, I am probably more likely to be struck by lightning than to get a Fendi dress. However, one day, if the heavens decide to smile down on me, perhaps I will find a classic piece in my size in an outlet about four years after its release on the market. I’d be totally happy with that.
