The semi-annual sale at Vicky’s is my favorite because it’s the time where I try new styles, like a hot yellow leopard bra, because hey, it’s $14.99, so why not? I find things in the sale bins that I normally might not have picked. However, I HIGHLY recommend that anyone looking for discount bras and panties stick to the catalog and website.
I was at the mall this morning, so I went to the VS store there, and it was so crowded, you would think they’re giving things away. I dug and dug through bins of bras and panties searching for my size in styles and colors that I liked. After I finally found a bra that I loved in all three colors in my size and seven pairs of panties, I went to the register to pay. What is it about Victoria’s Secret cashiers? They are SO. SLOW. I’m not even trying to be whiny about this. The line is slow on a regular day, and it was like 10x slower today. I know they have to take the sensor off of each item, but I could have crocheted myself an entire years worth of sweaters in the time I had to wait to pay for discount underwear. There are about six registers in the store and three of them were open. Only after about ten minutes of me waiting did they think to open ONE register on the opposite side of the store, even though there were about 15 customers on each line. Victoria’s Secret is simply not quick when ringing people up. I waited in line for like 20 minutes before I was going to be late getting to work. I flung my things into a bin and left, and was pissed off for most of the rest of the day.
The store in Manhattan wasn’t much better. I felt like I was at the zoo. People were stuffing their bags with bras, beauty products, and panties. There was one woman that just made me want to whip out a marker and write “I’M STOCKING UP FOR MY EBAY STORE” on her forehead. And she kept pushing me when I was trying to dig for bras.
Bitch.
Trying to navigate the piles of disorganized items among throngs of cheap-underwear-hungry women is just no fun. I’m going to look for the rest of what I wanted online. However, the one great item that I found at the store that I probably would never have seen on the website was this ah-mazing hot pink sports bra, which can only be described as Gymspiration.
