Christmas at Coach: Candy Colors!

Gorgey – and I hadn’t even gone inside yet!

I went to Coach in search of some more fabulous and comfy snow boots with fur trim. The “Joyous” boot (Coach’s logo print with brown fur trim) was marked down to $119 but they didn’t have my size :( How many women in New York City wear size 11? *sniffle*.

It’s a little logo-intense, but I liked this newsboy hat. Cute and goes with everything. $148.

coachhat1Also cute was the Zoe Tattersall beret, $158. I love Coach’s tattersall print. I thought their tattersall scarves were cute too, but they have been nixed by my BFF as potentially fake-Burberry looking.

Next up was their ah-dorable jewelry. I immediately noticed the locket because I remembered reading about Massie having one in The Clique books.

I can’t find a link to the necklace with all the charms on it, but I luh-v it.

The only thing in the store I didn’t really look at was the bags, which is ironic, I guess. My reasoning is this: Their small shoulder bags and wristlets are cute for high school girls going to parties and stuff, but once you hit 18, you really need to upgrade. I just don’t get women that walk around waving their Coach bags around like they cost a ton of money and everyone else is jealous. A Coach bag is absolutely acceptable, but if you really want to wow people, go for something at a similar price point from a more prestigious label. Most designers make seasonal collections and classic collections, and while Coach is a combination of both, their bags don’t change too drastically from season to season. You can get a Coach bag anywhere. For all I know, you got it at the outlet or T.J. Maxx for under $100. To their credit, Coach makes some very nice upscale bags from nicer materials such as snakeskin, but I can’t justify spending like $1000 on a bag there. I’d much rather have the cheapest bag from a high-end designer like Chanel or Fendi than the most expensive bag in the Coach store, but I do love their shoes, scarves and jewelry.

Lastly, j’adore their pet items. I don’t even have a dog, and I wanted to buy these. My cat Louie would claw the crap out of me if I ever put a fur coat on him.
